7:41pm. I finally got to see Ted in the recovery room! He's still in there. His heart rate is a little bit fast, and once it goes down a bit, he can go to his room.
The first thing Ted asked me when I saw him was, "Do I still have cancer?" To which I could happily and confidently reply, "NOPE!" That was the best thing we've both heard in months!
The monster is gone! See ya!
It has been a very long day. I'm still sitting in the surgical waiting room where I have been since this morning. There was apparently a shortage of rooms, and until I threatened to have him transported to another hospital, I was being told he'd have to sleep in the recovery room tonight. I persisted, nicely, and now we have a private room waiting for us.... ready for the room number? C911. YUP! 911.
I am so grateful that my friend Susan spent the day with me here at the hospital. If you don't have a friend who is a guidance counselor, find one, because they make fantastic friends! Susan entertained me, made me laugh, and provided much distraction for this very, VERY long day! It was nice to catch up with her, and she was right there to help me stay sane when I started to lose it! Susan, I couldn't have done it without you! We owe you BIG TIME!
I'm so thankful for all the wonderful people in our lives!
More later...... once Ted gets a room!

Just want you to know we are watching your updates. So glad to here that he is doing well. Hope you enjoy that private room. I hope, for Ted's sake, that the hospital food is better than your drink concoctions.
