Happy Father's Day!
Ted and I have been very lazy today. We sadly said "Goodbye" to Crystal, who flew back to Connecticut this morning. I surprised Ted with breakfast from La Segunda, the famous Cuban Bakery in Tampa. I stopped there on my way back from the airport.
We are both sleepy, so have spent most of the day on the couch. Ted seems to be doing better today, other than being tired. He's getting around a little better every day, and it looks like he can straighten and bend his knee a little bit more today.
The Physical Therapist came last night. His name is Larry. He is very good, and experienced. He said Ted is the youngest patient he's had with a total knee replacement in the 15 years he's been doing this, with the exception of maybe one person who was close in age.
Ted asked a lot of questions about the mechanics of what's inside his leg, and how they did it. He didn't even get squeamish when the PT talked about "carpentry" with saws and drills, and sanding bones.
Ted is not liking his CPM machine. It keeps sliding on the bed, and he has to lie flat while he's in it. Earlier, I was out working in the yard while he was hooked up to his machine. He was getting worried about me because I had been outside for so long, but he couldn't do anything about it because he was strapped into the machine. He got creative though, and called our house phone with his cell phone. I heard it ringing and ran inside. He's a smart one!
