The Room with a View

We finally made it to Ted's room late last night- around 10:00pm. We did get that private room we bugged everyone about. In addition to Ted's bed, it has a couch, a comfy reclining looking chair, and 2 regular chairs. The room has 3 windows overlooking Tampa Bay and Davis Island. It's truly a room with a view.

This early in the morning, the bay looks smooth and peaceful, the sky is a nice florida peach as the sun comes up.

Oh, you're looking to see how TED is doing! Ted had a very, very long night! The nerve block they put in his leg for pain wore off around 3am, and I awoke to Ted who was panicked and miserable in pain. The nurses promptly hooked him up to a morphine pump that Ted can activate himself. They also temporarily got the passive continuous motion machine off his leg, to give it a little break.

Ted's blood pressure is high and he has a low fever. They still don't have the heartrate down, so we'll be dealing with that today.

Stay tuned for more.... the Dr's are doing their rounds.

Holly, if this were two months ago, I would have been five minutes away at work.

I'm praying for Ted. The offer still stands-if you need me for anything, please don't hesitate. I'm popping you an email with my cell number.
