Ted's surgery schedule has been changed for tomorrow. Instead of 7:30, his surgery has been postponed until 10:00am. Now we can sleep until 5:30am instead of having to get up at 3:30am.
We were hoping to have the surgery over and out of the way by 10:00, but we don't really have a choice. The Dr. has the Operating Room booked for Ted from 10:00 until 1:20pm. I'll keep everyone posted as the day progresses tomorrow.
We still don't know results from the CT scan of Ted's lungs he had last Wednesday. The Dr. was supposed to call today, and he didn't. It's really nerve-wracking making us wait.
We had a quiet day today. Ted's knee has been really sore all day. and I've had my nose in a book. Our niece Crystal and I both took long naps this afternoon after sleeping until 10:00. It will be early to bed tonight, too. We're getting rest while we can. Tomorrow is going to be a long day for all of us.
Jack and Crystal are getting along well. Yesterday, when Crystal got up, Jack had forgotten she was visiting, and growled and barked at her like they had never met. This morning, Jack kept checking down the hallway waiting for Crystal to get up. Jack has been trying to convince Crystal to let him kiss her all day. He just doesn't understand why she doesn't want his slimy tongue all over her. Crystal shared her pizza with Jack at dinnertime, so now she'll be his best friend forever.
Well, our suitcase is packed, and we're pretty much as ready for tomorrow. Ted keeps joking we're going on "vacation" and hopes that our accommodations will be four star.
I hope we don't get stuck in a hospital room with a crazy old man again. The 3 hours we spent in a semi-private room after Ted's biopsy surgery were amusing, but neither of us would have been able to take much more than that. The weird old man was frantically typing numbers into a calculator and pretending to talk to people on the phone. Then, he started harassing the nurses. I can't be sure, but I think it was more than the pain medication making him wacko.
Send good thoughts tomorrow! We're going to get that fu@%er out!!!!!

"Dear God, we ask that you be with Ted & Holly during this mind blowing time. Please be with the Dr's during surgery and help to guide their steady hands. Keep the Doctors full of knowledge and Ted full of humor."
Speedy recovery being sent your way!
