Wedding Bells are Ringing

There will be 2 posts this morning. The first one is for my brother Tony who is getting married today.

Hey Tony,

Today is finally here! Ted and I are really bummed that we aren't there for one of the biggest events in Parisi family history.

Being married is wonderful. It's not going to change anything between you and Krissie. You guys have been together so long you have what it takes to be happy.

You're going to be so nervous and excited that you won't remember a word of your wedding vows. But please try to relax and enjoy your day. Have fun and let Mom and Dad and your wedding party worry about the details. Everyone will have fun, and if they don't, it's their fault, not yours.

I've only been married 2 and a half years, so I'm not the best one to give advice, but I'm going to tell you how Ted and I have built our relationship and marriage.

You and Krissie always need to be on the same "team." Work together, set goals, and make them happen by working together. Always be on her side, and she needs to always take your side. It's you two vs. this crazy world. If you work together as a "team" you're going to have a long and happy marriage. There's nothing more comforting and wonderful to know that when you go home at night, there's someone there to listen to your gripes and stories, encourage you, and always be supportive. You two can do anything you put your minds to, and overcome any challenges that might come your way by working together, helping each other, and encouraging each other. It should never be "you" against "her" although some days that's inevitable. But when that happens, remember that she is your teammate forever, work through it, and get back to being on the same side.

Krissie, I guess tonight, I can officially call you my "Sistah from another Mistah." Welcome to the Parisi family! Boy, you sure are crazy, but you know what you're getting into by joining this nutty family because in my mind, you have been part of our family for a very long time. I can't imagine a more perfect partner for Tony. Enjoy your day today and keep Tony calm. You're good at that. I'm so sad I'm going to miss this wonderful day that you have worked so hard to plan. Everything is going to be perfect, and then, tomorrow, you can finally relax. Don't let Tony keep you up all night!

Congratulations, Tony and Krissie!

Wow, you two have been married only two and a half years? You give off that 'married forever' vibe-and in a very good way.
